Hatter Creek Earthworks operates a basalt rock quarry between Princeton and Harvard. With easy access directly off of State Highway 6, our rock pit is ideally located to service the Potlatch, Princeton, and Harvard areas.
Basalt rock is a very hard rock that produces excellent gravel when crushed. Because of its hard and angular characteristics, basalt gravel is the most widely used type of gravel for construction work.
Gravel and rock products are sold by the ton. The delivery cost is by the ton with the price being determined based on the number of miles from the rock pit the material is being hauled. Gravel is also sold by the ton at the pit for self-loading and hauling with prior arrangements.
