Palouse River Banks Stabilization near Harvard – 2004

This project was completed on private land and funded by the NRCS.  The river bank was moving back several feet each year cutting into valuable farmland.  Rip-Rap was placed on the bank with willow cuttings planted between the rocks.  Several rock barbs were also constructed to help redirect the flow and reduce the pressure on the bank.
